Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Helm collects and how it is used. It covers two groups: operators (teams who build and deploy agents) and visitors (end users who chat with a deployed agent).
Information we collect
- Operator account data: name, email, workspace settings, and the knowledge, instructions, and connected actions you configure.
- Visitor conversations:messages exchanged with a deployed agent, and any details a visitor provides (such as an email or order number) are recorded so the operator’s team can review and follow up.
- Usage data: operational metrics such as message counts, token usage, and cost, used for analytics and billing safeguards.
How we use information
We use it to provide the Service: generating grounded answers, routing conversations to a human when needed, showing operators their inbox and analytics, and protecting the Service from abuse and runaway cost. We do not sell personal information.
Sub-processors
To run the Service we share data with infrastructure providers strictly to deliver it:
- OpenAI — model inference and embeddings for answers, voice, and knowledge search. Conversation content is sent to OpenAI to generate responses.
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
- Firecrawl (optional) — crawling websites you add as knowledge.
- Resend (optional) — transactional and notification email.
Visitor data & embedded widgets
When an operator embeds an agent on their site, conversations are processed by Helm on the operator’s behalf — the operator is the controller of that data. Visitors should review the embedding site’s own privacy notice for how the operator uses their information.
Retention
Conversations and knowledge are retained while an operator’s workspace is active so agents can reference history and teams can review past conversations. Operators can delete knowledge sources at any time. To request deletion of an account or specific conversation data, contact us.
Your choices
Operators can edit their profile and workspace and remove knowledge from the dashboard. For access or deletion requests not self-served in the app, email us and we will action them.
