Clinics and practices

An AI receptionist for your clinic's front desk

Helm answers questions about treatments, prices, hours and insurance from your approved information, takes appointment requests with the details your team needs, and passes the questions you choose, such as clinical ones, to your staff.

Answers on treatments, prices, hours, parking and cancellation rules, with the source alongside.

Appointment requests arrive with the service, a preferred time, contact details and your intake answers.

Write plain rules, such as questions about symptoms or results, and those conversations go to a person on your team.

How it works

Automation that stays accountable.

Answer the admin questions that tie up the front desk

Most messages to a physio, dental or aesthetics clinic are not clinical. They ask what an initial assessment costs, whether you work with a particular insurer, how long a session lasts, where to park and what happens if they cancel late. Helm answers those from the pages and documents you approve and shows where each answer came from.

Ask your intake questions before anyone calls back

Set a short list of questions for each service: first visit or returning, referral or insurance, preferred practitioner. Helm asks them during the conversation and will not file a request until the required answers are in, so reception is not phoning back to fill in the gaps.

Book where you can, take a request where you cannot

With a connected Cal.com calendar, Helm offers real free times and books them after the patient confirms. With another practice system it can send your booking link. Without either, it takes a request for a preferred day and part of the day and tells the patient that a person will confirm.

Keep clinical judgement with clinicians

Helm is not a clinician. Add plain rules for what must go to a person, such as questions about symptoms, suitability or results, and those conversations become a request for your team with the transcript attached. Put your urgent-care guidance in your approved information, and test these questions before you go live.

FAQ

Does Helm give medical advice?

It is not meant to. Helm answers practical questions from the information you approve, such as services, prices, hours and policies. Add rules for what must go to a person, such as symptoms, suitability or results, and test them before launch. Agent output must not be presented as medical advice.

Should patients share medical details with it?

Ask only what reception needs to route the request, such as the service and whether the problem is new or ongoing. Helm is not a clinical record system. If health-privacy rules such as HIPAA apply to you, check your obligations before putting any AI tool in front of patients.

Can it book appointments into our diary?

With a connected Cal.com calendar, Helm checks real availability and books after the patient confirms. With Cliniko, Jane or another practice system, Helm sends your booking link or takes requests for your team to confirm.

Does it answer the telephone?

Not yet as a self-serve channel. A phone line is in early access as part of the Voice: website + phone add-on, set up with you. Spoken conversations on your website are part of the same add-on.

How much does it cost?

Building and testing chat is free. Going live on Core is $500 a month for one receptionist, and Scale is $700 a month for up to 5 locations or brands.
